Babolat Pro Hurricane

Polyester based durability string designed to meet the needs of top tournament players. To improve feel and comfort, Babolat utilized a material called Xtrem Futur Polymer. The result is a high-performance string with unparalleled flexibility, that maximizes ball spin, and is one of the softer polys in the Babolat line.

Luxilon ALU Power

Combines great durability with impressive power and good control. The durable and control oriented response of Luxilon ALU-Power and other Luxilon co-polyester strings has revolutionized professional tennis. By far the most popular choice on the ATP Tour, Luxilon's co-polyester monofilament construction allows a player to take full cuts at the ball without any loss of control. Players with fast swing speeds also tend to find these strings very spin friendly.

Luxilon 4G

Extremely playable co-poly with above average tension maintenance for the breed. Firm and durable with exceptional bite and control.  Luxilon spent two years tweaking the molecular properties of 4G in order to extend the life of playability. Great option for players who want all the benefits of a control string without the high tension loss and impact shock that comes with some of the first generation polys. This doesn't mean it will work for players who prefer natural gut or nylon multifilaments, but it does mean that for players with long, fast strokes, Luxilon has created a very user-friendly co-poly.

Notes:

Stiffness index is a measure of how firm a string feels upon installation.  The lower the number, the softer the string; a higher number represents a stiffer feeling string.  Additionally, a lower value indicates a stringbed that supplies more power, while a higher stiffness index means the player must supply the power.

Tension loss represents the total amount of string relaxation both over a defined amount of time and impact in a test environment.  Values are measured in pounds, with higher values indicating a greater tension loss, and lower values represent less tension loss.

Data for Stiffness Index and Tension Loss taken from USRSA test results.
